LADNA · PRIVACY

Your diary stays on your phone.

In short: Ladna has no accounts and no ads. Everything you record in the diary is stored only on your iPhone, and the diary never reaches us. To understand how the app is used, we collect anonymous usage statistics, with no health data.

Updated: 1 November 2026

Who we are

The app is published by KERNEXIT S.R.L. (IDNO 1026023040248), Str. Ștefan Neaga 20, of. 4, MD-2008, Chișinău, Republic of Moldova. Questions about this policy: hello@kernex.md.

What the app is

Ladna is a pregnancy and self-monitoring diary with information from clinical guidelines and a report for your doctor. It does not diagnose, does not prescribe treatment or doses, and is not a medical device. You enter your glucose targets and blood pressure limit yourself, as your doctor gave them.

What you record and where it is stored

Due date, baby's sex (if you want), glucose readings, blood pressure, weight, ketones, baby's movements, mood questionnaire answers, medicines your doctor prescribed, meals, notes, questions for your doctor, maternity ward and doctor phone numbers, your doctor's targets and plan.

This is health data. It is stored only in the app on your iPhone and is never sent anywhere. There are no accounts, so we have no copy of your diary and cannot get one.

Copies of the diary

Every day the app saves a copy of the diary on the same phone and keeps the last 30 days of copies, so a mistake can be undone.

If iPhone backup is on (to iCloud or a computer), the diary is included with your other apps. You and Apple control that backup; we have no access to it. Ladna itself uploads nothing to iCloud.

The backup file and the doctor report (PDF, text, spreadsheet) are created only when you tap. Where to send them — a messenger, email or Files — is your choice; once sent, they are kept by the recipient under the recipient's rules.

Apple Health, notifications and Face ID

If you turn on writing to Apple Health, the app writes glucose, blood pressure and weight there. The app cannot read and does not ask to read data from Health.

Measurement reminders are created on the phone itself. On the lock screen they don't show glucose values or medicine names.

Face ID unlock is checked by iOS. The app only receives a yes or no; biometric data never reaches us.

Anonymous statistics

To understand whether the app helps and whether our advertising pays off, Ladna sends anonymous usage statistics to PostHog (servers in the European Union). For example: the app was opened for the first time, a set-up step was passed (the step number only, no answers), the Ladna Plus screen was shown or closed, a free trial started, a purchase was made (product, price, currency), a doctor report was sent (only the fact and the format).

Each event carries the app and iOS version, the app language, the App Store country and a random install number the app creates itself. It is not linked to your name, Apple Account, phone number or advertising identifier; we keep no user profiles. The IP address is not stored and is not used to find your location.

Nothing from the diary goes into the statistics: not your week or due date, glucose, targets, blood pressure, weight, baby's movements, medicines, meals or notes, not your answer about gestational diabetes, and not the contents of the report.

If you installed Ladna after an App Store ad (Apple Ads), the app asks Apple once which campaign the install came from and adds only the campaign, ad group and keyword numbers to the statistics. This needs no tracking permission and does not use the advertising identifier.

The legal basis is our legitimate interest in understanding how the app works (Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR). Statistics are kept for 12 months and then deleted. They are not linked to you, so we cannot find your records in them on request.

What we don't do

No sign-up, no in-app ads, no tracking across other apps and websites; data is not sold. Apart from the anonymous statistics (above) and crash reports from Apple (below), the app shares nothing and works offline.

If sharing diagnostics with developers is on in iOS settings, Apple may send us anonymised crash reports. We use them only to fix bugs.

How to delete everything

In the app: Settings → «Удалить все данные» (Delete all data). This removes the diary, the automatic copies and scheduled reminders from the phone. Deleting the app also erases its data from the phone.

Separately: entries in Apple Health are deleted in the Health app; iPhone backups in iCloud settings or on your computer; files and reports you sent, by their recipients.

Retention

The diary is kept until you delete it. Automatic copies in the app: the last 30 days; older ones are deleted automatically.

Anonymous statistics in PostHog: 12 months.

Your rights and changes

Moldovan Law No. 195/2024 on personal data protection and the GDPR give you the rights of access, rectification, erasure, restriction, portability and objection. Because the diary is with you, not with us, you exercise them directly in the app: view, correct, save a backup file, delete. For any question write to hello@kernex.md.

You can lodge a complaint with the National Center for Personal Data Protection (CNPDCP): www.datepersonale.md, 48 Serghei Lazo St., Chișinău.

The app is intended for adults. If Ladna starts handling data differently, we will update this page before the new version is released and change the date above.
